AMAVÈ, an acronym for vegetable amatriciana, is a tomato sauce enriched with 100% Italian organic tofu. made by chef La Stella Veg. The idea of using tofu stems from the many properties this ingredient possesses that are still underestimated in Western cuisine. A source of protein, tofu contains no cholesterol and very little fat, while it is rich in many vitamins (D, B1, B2, B3 and apparently even B12) and minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium and the valuable omega-3. It also contains flavonoids, plant substances that are useful as antioxidants in the body to fight free radicals. The Star with this sauce surprises us because it manages to give tofu flavour in a completely natural way. To many of you it will look like eating bacon, but it is actually tofu! Furthermore, unlike its twin seitan, it does not contain gluten, and is therefore also suitable for those who follow a gluten-free diet by choice or necessity.
The 100% natural smoker adds that extra touch of flavour that will surprise you.
